When patients require transport to a planned or emergency appointment visit, they must have the transport they need to see medical professionals when required. No two patients are the same, meaning travel is not easy for individuals with special vehicle requirements.
With APG’s patient transport services, we ensure that non-critical patients have the access they need to attend their medical appointments. We have experience in providing support services to primary and urgent care providers including visiting GP surgeries and out of hours services. Our HCPC registered paramedics are qualified in all areas and can also take on the home visiting services for the provider.

Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services
Here at APG, we have been providing this service since 2002 and currently work across Devon and Cornwall but also accept transfers across the UK. Having contracts in place with the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), we provide Paramedic High Dependency Ambulances to the region’s hospitals for the transfer of patients needing qualified medical care en-route. As well as the CCG we hold contracts for Ambulance Care Assistants (ACA), moving patients that have been discharged from the hospital or taking patients to hospital appointments.
We have several members of staff working for us regularly and are all vetted to comply with CQC recruitment standards and Enhanced DBS background checks. As a leading provider of patient transport services, we’ve been transporting patients within Devon and Cornwall and the UK for twenty years. We’re a name you can trust, with thousands of customers that use our services time and time again.

“I wanted to write and thank you for all your assistance last week when I had an ITU patient that we wanted to transfer home for end of life care. This gentleman was transferred home on a ventilator and so required a full Paramedic transfer to facilitate this.
The crew that came were amazing, very sensitive to the situation and couldn’t have been more accommodating. Having got the patient home they were able to assist him to spend some time in his garden before settling him into his own bed where he later passed away peacefully.
Without their willingness to accommodate his last wishes he would have had to spend his last day in a hospital cubicle, instead he died peacefully and with dignity at home. Please pass them our gratitude for their amazing support.“
