Meet the Team – Paula Andrew!
What’s your role within APG and when did you join the company?
“I am the Clinical Manager here at APG in Plymouth and have worked within the team since 2021. I originally started my career in the 1990s working with Two Shires Ambulance Service as a Trainee Technician and over time progressed to a Paramedic role.
I later moved to Devon and began working for SWAST as a Paramedic until 2017 when I left to pursue other avenues. This included contracted work with Devon Doctors and 111 as a Clinical Navigator.
I then joined APG in 2021 after missing the patient contact. I originally started working frontline however I later progressed to the role I am in today after helping out with the clinical admin as the company grew!”
What are your day to day duties within APG?
“My day to day duties include carrying out clinical audits, managing frontline crews, compliance, internal quality assurance and so much more! I also still work frontline when I get the chance.”
What do you like to do in your spare time?
“In my spare time, I love to scuba dive! A fun fact about me is that I am a professional diver and was once contracted to the US Navy as a diving instructor for military based in the UK.
I also love to hike. I live on the moors in Devon so I am always out walking the dog whenever I can!”
What is your favourite thing about working for APG?
“My favourite thing about working for APG is being able to work with such fantastic frontline crews and office team members! All of the staff around me are first class!”
