- Trap pollen with vaseline!
Vaseline can be used around the nose to trap pollen and prevent it from entering the nose and causing sneezing and other uncomfortable hay fever symptoms. This is because petroleum jelly like Vaseline is sticky and can trap pollen particles.
- Shower and change clothes after being outside!
After being outside, it is a good idea to have a shower and change your clothes to get rid of the pollen that may be on you. This will help to reduce lasting hay fever symptoms and will keep you feeling fresh during the warmer weather!
- Keep windows and doors shut as much as possible!
By keeping your windows and doors shut as much as possible (especiially during the night) this will help in preventing pollen from entering your home. This will help in reducing your exposure to pollen thus helping to calm the hay fever symptoms you may be experiencing.
- Wear sunglasses to help protect your eyes
By wearing sunglasses this not only helps you shield from the sun but it will also help prevent the pollen from irritating your eyes. One of the main symptoms of hayfever is having irritated eyes which can cause redness and itching. Help protect yourself from this by buying a pair of sunglasses!
